Maximize Profit in Interior Design Without Managing Projects: A Proven Step-by-Step Formula

During this 2-hour + Q&A comprehensive event, I will show you:

  • How to easily set up Concept-Only Design Services in your business
  • My proven, step-by-step design process that’s gotten me rave reviews from builders, trades, and clients
  • How to manage client expectations with structured boundaries and a clear revision policy
  • Recommended price points and how to earn a 6-figure salary from consulting-only services
  • How to avoid ongoing questions about your design plans after the final presentation
  • The best strategies to sell additional consulting services for selecting finishes and furnishings

Following the workshop, you will walk away knowing exactly how to set up this service.

With the additional marketing tools, contract template, and process checklist, you can immediately start offering Concept-Only Design Services to your clients and reaching out to builders.

If you feel unappreciated, overworked, and underpaid—now is the time to take back control of your business and your life.

When I first started my business, I had an opportunity to work with a reputable builder who required well-thought-out design plans before they would quote on any project. Through that experience, I developed my Concept-Only Design Service and worked ongoing with that builder and many others over the years.

Working in this way allowed me to build an extensive portfolio, a staggering amount of 5-star reviews, and a hefty client base. Eventually, I was getting so much work that I no longer relied on builders for repeat business.

The best part is that you control the deliverables that you provide and get to focus on what you love most. The bulk of your time is not spent putting out fires.

What’s Included:

  • 2-hour live workshop presentation on Zoom (recording available the following day for 2 weeks)
    • Benefits of this service—to you, your clients, and builders
    • Overview of what exactly is Concept-Only Design Services
    • Step-by-step process of how to set up and deliver this service

All sales for the “Maximize Profit in Interior Design Without Managing Projects: A Proven Step-by-Step Formula” workshop are final. My previous workshops on this topic SOLD OUT, so don’t wait until it’s too late to save your seat.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will there be a recording available after the live event?

Yes! On the day following the live workshop, a recording of the presentation will be sent to the email address you used to register for the event. We suggest you download it to have it in your own files. The recording will be available for 2 weeks after the event.

What is the format and structure of the workshop?

The workshop will be live on Zoom for 2 hours with a 10-minute break at approximately the halfway mark. There will also be a half-hour Q&A at the end of the presentation so you have an opportunity to ask questions. When you sign up to save your seat, you will receive an email confirming your registration. On the day of the live workshop, you will receive instructions to access the downloads, as well as a link to the Zoom call.

Will there be an opportunity to ask questions?

Yes. After the presentation, we hold a Q&A session where you can ask me anything relating to what I cover and how to make the service work for you. I’m here to give you Claire-ity.

How will this workshop help me overcome current challenges in the design industry?

The beauty of offering this service is you don’t have to be responsible for the part of the renovation process that you like the least, and that leads to constant headaches-  like managing the project, overseeing trades work, and rectifying issues of damaged products. Plus, while many consumers are starting to shop online and looking for the best deals on products, they still can’t do what you do when it comes to problem-solving and envisioning the best plan for a space.

This service enables you to deliver that which is in your control: your amazing talent for design! Everything you learn in this workshop will allow you to focus on being creative and being in control—all while making great money.

What are the key takeaways or skills I will gain from attending this workshop?

As with any interior design service you offer in your business, in order to land a client and gain their trust, you need to be able to clearly articulate what they can expect from working with you. They need to understand how your services will benefit them, and what the deliverables are that you will provide as part of your valuable, luxury service.

You will come away from this workshop knowing all of these important elements that will enable you to confidently sell this service to both clients and builders.

Will I have everything I need to start offering this service to clients and builders?

Yes! I will show you my exact step-by-step process for how we deliver this service in my business with outstanding results. With my guidance and expertise, along with examples of a real client presentation and invoices, a contract template, a service outline document with FAQs to use as a marketing tool, my process checklist, and a comprehensive guidebook, you will have all the necessary resources to add this fabulous offering to your menu of services immediately following the workshop.

Previous designers have messaged me within a week of attending the workshop, telling me how they immediately set up and promoted this service and already booked new clients!

What makes this workshop different from others?

Other workshops or courses related to running an interior design business focus on managing renovations or full-service projects.

Based on the current climate of the industry and what many designers are struggling with right now in terms of the challenges that come with managing a project and clients ‘shopping’ them, I teach an alternate, refreshing approach to be successful in a way that enables designers to do what they love most—design.

What I teach is a business model that no one else has done as successfully as I have or for as long as I have. After this workshop, you will have the understanding and the tools to instantly start offering this great money-making, easy-to-do design service that will transform your business.

If I don’t sign up for this workshop, will there be another live workshop in the future? Will the recording be available for purchase?

We are thrilled to have already run this live workshop four times with great success – three of the four previous events have sold out.  At this time, we anticipate this particular live workshop to be our last on the topic of Concept-Only Design. If you are thinking about joining us or contemplated signing up for a previous Concept-Only Design workshop but never got around to it, now is the time to attend, so you don’t miss out.

What makes you qualified to teach designers on this topic?

I have been offering this service with great success since the year I opened for business in 2011. I have worked with numerous builders offering our Concept-Only Design Services, and our clients always rave about us after working with them.

We have over 125 five-star reviews from both clients and trades, as well as countless awards since opening my business over 15 years ago.

I walk the walk and, if you know me, you know I don’t hold back in what I share. I am passionate about giving you the ‘how’ and not just telling you the ‘what’. If you are ready, I’m all in too! (Read the reviews in the slides above to see what previous attendees of my workshop have said)

Can I receive support or resources after the workshop ends?

If you want more support with specific guidance and advice on running a thriving interior design business, I offer 1-on-1, 90-minute online coaching sessions.

What is the refund policy?

Once you have registered for the workshop, you instantly receive an email with all the downloads and templates. Your purchase reserves your spot for the event. If you are unable to attend on the day, you will still be sent the recording after the live workshop, as well as all the downloads. There are no refunds.

Are you ready to create a thriving business designing for clients and builders without the hassle of project management?

Register to save your seat now. I can’t wait to see you at 12 pm EST on Thursday, April 16th!

Establishing Your Menu of Services

If you’ve ever wondered…

  • What is the most important element to consider when establishing my services?
  • Which aspect of interior design will set me apart the most?
  • Should I have a minimum budget for projects?
  • What are the best questions to ask on a discovery call to vet clients accurately?
  • Which service is best for new designers and why?

In my Establishing Your Menu of Services guide, I share answers to all these questions—plus the secret to increasing your profits. You’ll also learn the best strategies that will make it easier for you to price projects.

It’s time to streamline your services and make things less complicated for yourself.

Think about it from a client’s point of view.

When you look at investing in a professional service provider, do you have more confidence in someone who is clear about how they work and makes it easy for you to understand the features and benefits of what they offer?

Or would you put your trust in someone more vague, that leaves you wondering what it is exactly that they do and no idea of the possible costs involved to work with them?

I know who out of the two would get my business.

The Pricing & Proposal Roadmap

If you’ve ever asked yourself…

  • What exactly is a proposal and why do I need one?
  • Is a proposal required for every project?
  • How should I be presenting my design proposal?
  • Other than scope and pricing, what else do I include?
  • What is the best way to price projects?

Seeing is believing. It’s a cliche that sounds pretty cheesy, but is so true. With the reactions and feedback from other designers who have seen my proposals, this will be eye-opening and transformational to your business.

How to price a project can be one of the most challenging tasks for designers.

You can bill by the hour, charge a flat fee, or price per square foot. And because no two projects are the same, the best way I can guide you is by showing you a detailed walkthrough of a real client proposal.

Designers at all levels wrestle with this, but it doesn’t have to be an ongoing struggle.

What’s Included:

  • A walkthrough video of a $40k proposal with a breakdown of pricing, final presentation example, and before & after photos of the completed project
  • Pricing & Proposal Roadmap Guide PDF
    • Answers to FAQs for best practices for creating & presenting proposals
    • Keynotes from the video with time stamps for easy reference
    • Project scope & pricing examples from a real client project
  • Interior Design Proposal – Canva Template to edit as your own
  • Examples of 20+ line item descriptions to use in your proposals

Impress your clients and increase your conversion rates. Everything you’ve ever wanted to know about preparing a killer proposal is coming out from behind the curtain and ready for you to view now.

Stress-Free Invoicing

Do you struggle with knowing…

  • When to invoice clients for services and products, and when to collect balance payments?
  • What to do if a client doesn’t pay an invoice or wants to negotiate payment terms?
  • Whether to charge different rates for admin tasks and travel?
  • How to bill clients for your design assistants’ time?
  • What to do if you go over the number of hours quoted for a project?

Inside my Stress-Free Invoicing guide, get answers to these questions and realize your earning potential in different areas of your business where you are likely losing out on a ton of money.

Working this way is not sustainable for running a profitable business and it’s not rewarding.

Why I believe this is necessary:

Whether charging by the hour or choosing to do a flat fee, most designers do not accurately bill for the actual time they spend working on a design project.

I have helped hundreds of designers make thousands more in revenue with these eye-opening strategies. All the work you put in adds up and are hours you should be billing for.

The sooner you recognize this, the closer your dream of making more money in your business while working with fewer clients becomes a reality.

What’s Included:

  • My Stress-Free Invoicing Guide PDF
    • What, when, and how to invoice clients
    • All the billable hours you’re not charging for, but should be
    • Answers to the most frequently asked questions around invoicing

  • 20+ ideas of what to include as part of your service offerings

STOP feeling bad about billing for your time! Start implementing what I teach in my guide today and you’ll find yourself working on fewer projects, with higher profits.

How to Find Great Trades & Suppliers

When it comes to finding trades and suppliers…

  • Do you struggle to find trades who are open to your design ideas?
  • Are you tired of being undermined in front of your clients?
  • Have you dreamed of working with contractors for repeat business?
  • How are you establishing boundaries for positive working relationships?
  • Are you spending endless hours sourcing products for your projects?

Strong partnerships with trades and suppliers are non-negotiable if you want your design projects to run smoothly. Typically, a lot of trades view designers as either a ‘hobby’ decorator who is out of their depth or a ‘diva’ designer who is controlling.

How trades conduct business—and the way products perform and hold up over time—reflects on you. These people come into your client’s home and you are ultimately responsible for their quality of work.

My incredible team of trades have been with me for more than 8 years and I am so appreciative of each, and every one of them. Our suppliers are equally enjoyable to work with and these relationships have a huge impact on the success of your business.

I have been on both sides of the fence and there is no better feeling than knowing you have the best people in place who you can always count on for support.

Don’t risk your reputation, these amazing partners do exist. With the right approach, I can help you find them.

What’s Included:

  • Two Coaching Videos
    • Conflict to collaboration, identifying the struggle of finding good people
    • Building your dream team and maintaining solid relationships
  • 5 Ways to Build a Brilliant Team of Trades and Suppliers PDF
  • Comprehensive Vendor List
    • 100+ links to various vendors for design furnishings and finishes
    • Listed by category for easy navigation—lighting, furniture, rugs, wallpaper, fabrics, hardware, bedding, and more

Avoid getting stuck in working relationships that may be having a negative impact on your business. If you are ready, I’m excited!
